It has been a while.

I'm sorry that it has been so long. I have really let down the one of you that looks at this blog on a regular basis. I am taking my camera with me tonight and will get some pics up this week. Promise.

Dinner with friends.

I went to dinner with Cort and Hay the other night. And lucky for them I take my camera with me all the time. (All my friends make "I hate your camera face" but, I am fairly sure they like it.)
We went to McCool's Public House. (That's really the name.)

But first Matt's shoes.

McCool's is really tasty. Everything on the menu sounds great. And is according to the staff. It had a lot of very recognizable dishes with a different/delicious twist on the flavors.

Here is a picture of our fried cheese appetizer. It was good but the sauce was the winner. It was a sweet tomato vinaigrette. I wouldn't let them take the plate. I kept the left over and put it on my main course.

The water was also top notch!
I think my friends favorite part about my camera is that it makes them get up and pose while we wait for dinner. At least Cort and Hay are cute and nice enough to follow my orders.

Cort grows some nice lavender.

The Barrus'

I am a little pressed for time today. So, without any further ado...

I volunteered to ride in the MS 100 "best dam bike tour" on June 28th. It's a fund raiser to support MS research and I was going to ride on the Wasatch Electric/Graybar Electric team. But, with the wrist problem I have recently developed, there was no way I could lean forward on my wrist for 100 miles. So, I went up and took pictures instead.

Here's the view from the starting line. This year they had 3,033 rides.

A few of my team mates pulling into rest stop #3.

This is Shaun. He was there taking photos for the Wasatch/Graybar team as well. He's a great photographer. You had better check out his website here.
The start!

Mel's wedding... at least some decorations.

Melissa and Wood finally married this past Friday. Mel asked me to bring my camera. But, I didn't want to step on the toes of the "official" photographer; so I tried to stick to the decorations.

These are the markers leading guests into the main doors of the church.
I believe they were lighted with candles after dark.
The five tiered chocolate on chocolate on chocolate wedding cake.
This was the best cakes I have had in a long time.
And I know my chocolate cakes.

When chocolate frosting isn't enough simply smack some chocolate flakes on the size.

The distracted bride.

Center pieces.

The newly weds.

Some shoes I found outside.

Take my camera to work day!

One of my co-workers grows some beautiful orchids at her home. Every once in a while when they bloom she will bring them in. When she showed up with this purple phalaenopsis a week or 2 ago that was all the excuse I needed to bring my camera into the office.
There were a few other things sitting around my desk that caught my eye.

This two button switch was returned by a customer last week.
It's patiently waiting for the factory to respond to my e-mails.
Sigh...

This is Toast Ninja.
I found him on Jonny Chiba's Blog.
I printed him off, folded him up and put him to work.
He stands guard over all of my possessions here at work.
You do not want to be on his bad side.

And here is the shot Toast uses in his portfolio.
Meet bokzomby.
He is another Jonny Chiba creature.
I can't tell I'm not sure if he and Toast are friends or not.
They stand pretty close together.
But there are a lot of stink-eyes being handed out.

Here is The Ed.
He is our warehouse manager here at work.
He's a good kid.
He is also the inspiration for one of my other blogs.
