Roscoe the Fink

I'm finally getting around to posting the pics of Roscoe striping my bike. He did a killer job and he has a personality to go along with his killer 'stache. Take a look at some more of his work here, and for your own sake call him to get something striped.

That is called focus ladies and gents.

I even made him put some lines on my exhaust.

While waiting for the pinstriper to show up I took a few pics around my friend Matt's garage. My pinstriper is Roscoe from Hepcat Pinstriping. I will get some pics of him laying some lines and his work up soon.

This is a wooden puzzle I got for Christmas. It's even harder then it looks.

Take your ______ to work day.

I filled that blank in the title with my camera. And, as it was Saturday my "to work" was full of interesting things too look at but not much to talk about.

Looks like a good amount of oxygen.

I worked at a greenhouse for 10+ years and of all the 1000's of plants I have weeded, watered, fertilized, picked up and delivered, English Daisies are still my fave.

Here is my new project. I don't own this unfortunately. It's Cort's '81 XS650. He may or may not make it as cool as it could be.

Sometimes I want to see things that aren't there. These rock pictures I took at Lake Powell in 2007. The cliffs seemed like they needed something else so I added to them.

Record Breaking

Too day was a record breaking day for my little blog. Today I had 245 page views!!!(My previous record is somewhere around 3. My mom and grandmothers use this site to verify that I am still alive and to prove to there friends that I am, in fact, literate.)

How did I break this record? It was all thanks to Chris at BIKEEXIF.com. BIKEEXIF is a very cool website by Chris from his home in Sydney, Australia. He posts about; as he says, "new and classic cafe racers, customs, vintage motorbikes, retro track weapons and style icons."

I sent Chris a message a few weeks back telling him what a great site he had and that many of the bikes he posts each day have help inspire me to make my little V-Star what it has(and is continuing to) become. To my surprise, he responded and asked me a few questions and wanted to see some pics. A few weeks past and I didn't think much of it until Chris e-mailed and said my bike would be featured the next day!!! How cool is that. I am surprised and very honored to be on BIKEEXIF and want to say thanks to Chris for taking the time to talk with me. I also wanna thank Matt for all the help on the moto itself. (Now someone buy this bike so I can build another!)

Here is a video of my first ride after paint and lowering. It has no seat and no fender at this point and it was just about 20 degrees F. I think me and Matt put about 10 miles on it that day.
